I don’t think you can pull deployment of power lines now, on the idea that we will have generation in the south of Alberta later. I’ll bet that it will be some time before anyone wants a Nuclear reactor in Southern Alberta, and yes I know LFTR is safe, but selling that will be another issue.

BTW I wrote code to model what happens when lines go down to help deal with the fact that we’re running the grid so close to the line. 25 years of not adding capacity is a huge issue.

Good looking video, too bad the Voice doesn’t have a nice British accent like Patrick Stewart. ;)

The description of the workflow is interesting – fast feedback with video seems it would enable you to do this stuff remotely for people. You’re your own little Near-shoring video solution.

I just watched this. I am excited about the potential. Thanks for this re-mix. I like the excitement in the voices of the presenters and I am wondering how we could capture that same excitement if we were to re-shoot a summary.

It is really frustrating for me to know this technology exists and see the near blindness of our political leadership.

Hey Gord, cool post, I bet quite a few Youtubers will agree this is pretty helpful. That’s too bad there’s enough abusers that youtube can’t just allow users to set video thumbnails manually (like with Vimeo).

All this said, I dunno, I think the original thumbnail was pretty awesome too ;P
