I'd say about half the feedback I get on anything mentioning Caldicott is negative.
So this ain't for you, it is for me.
This is really something I wanted to put out there after (recently) understanding the dead-by-2009 brush with nuclear power right here in Alberta.
Of course there were protests. And preceding those protests, was Caldicott.
In fact some of the voices chiming in right now in protest of Alberta joining the SMR MOU can be found in old web posts promoting Caldicott's visits.
I'd like to tie this up a bit, so I have something Canadian-specific I can show to fellow Canadians on how Dr. Helen Caldicott has misinformed us.
Dr. Chris Keefer, creator of "Decouple" and "We CANDU It!" podcasts joined me, for a sort of conversational approach. (Certainly it makes me feel more sane than trying to dictate script into the camera.)
I bugged Keefer after he mentioned on a podcast he'd been anti-nuclear since 2006, thanks to a Dr. Helen Caldicott's visit to Ontario! For a decade, he was anti-nuclear thanks to her.
