Here's a presentation with some great notes on technical challenges facing Molten Salt Reactors, based on SAMOFAR's analysis of a fast-reactor design.
I have a list of timecodes that a hot links in YouTube Description (and replicated in comments), here's a copy/paste of them...

...there's 3 bolded moments to check out if you don't have 20 minutes to watch it all. Cold Plug verified. Drain Tank considerations.
2019 ORNL MSR Workshop Announced
Oct 2nd and 3rd. In Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Am grovelling for premission to capture or at least have ORNL retain the presentations using their own very fine equipment... if you are an MSR company feel free to communicate to ORNL folk that you would love to get a copy of the video of your presentation.
In 2018 ORNL never retained the video stream. They can do that. All 2018 presentations COULD have been retained, and offered to the individual presenters as individual MP4 files, for those presenters to do-with-as-they-saw-fit.
(Doesn't have to involve me at all.)
2019 TEAC10 (Thorium Energy Alliance Conference) Announced
Oct 1st. Pollard Center in town of Oak Ridge.
No dedicated web page on TEA website as of yet. Was informed by an email.
...so that's both events around Oak Ridge. If you're like me you'll want to at least block off Oct 1st through 3rd in your calendar now.
I do plan on attending both. Honestly I wasn't sure about attending ORNL, but at least I know TEAC10 needs/wants their presentations to be shared with public. Hopefully I can secure permission with ORNL and get 3 days of presentations out of it instead of 1.
