Joe Biden utters the world "Nuclear"
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NLGOunXocw0
...there is a big "MISSING FOOTAGE" moment in my forever-ongoing Thorium doc, where I show as many presidents as possible talking about nuclear power, and Joe Biden is missing because he's never spoken about it since he was a young-un.
Strangely, this is the only YouTube Short I've ever released on the subject of nuclear power which gets a small number of regular views. Not a lot, just 50/day. But is my only nuclear YouTube Short which really gets any views at all. I was starting to wonder about the whole concept of YouTube Shorts.
Alberta Politics - Naheed Nenshi running for leadership of Alberta NDP supports Nuclear
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnIdthFYz0c
...that's a video I shot in a car with Karl, Eric and Matt as we were on our way from Dallas to Abilene.
I had all these great jokes in mind about how Naheed Nenshi was a figment of my imagination, and Karl, Eric and Matt would poke fun at me for making it all up. They'd list off "proper" politician names, like "Joe Biden" and "Donald Trump" and "Jeb Bush" and "Bill Clinton".
And the punchline would be when I start listing off Canadian politician names, and the last name is... Pierre Poilievre!
Oh so funny... so funny. Oh, tears in my eyes. Oh lord. Pierre Poilievre. Naheed Nenshi. Made up names... sigh.
So we didn't do any of that, because I couldn't figure where to mount the camera in the car so we'd all be in the shot. Perhaps it is for the best.
Anyway there was a leadership race, I wanted to make sure as many pro-nuclear Albertans as possible registered with Alberta NDP, so we could finally have 1 less insanely-anti-nuclear party spewing FUD in my province. That's why I did it.
"How's making Green Party of Canada be less anti-nuclear going Gord?"
Not great. Still an ongoing process, but no easy win in sight. The leaders are anti-nuclear, they control the communications. Is why it is so important to have a pro-nuclear leader in every party.
