This post is for people trying to edit Nuclear or MSR or Thorium videos.
I'm currently uploading video content to Google Drive, about 5 TB so far. For collaboration purposes and backup purposes.
I can't share everything, but I'm looking for share folders that didn't have "off the record" moments, or me basically shooting a camera down a dinner table of 30 people and sucking it all in. (Yeah, maybe not such a great idea you don't see footage I shot like that used in many of my videos.)
ThEC13 might be a good test case, to see IF anyone cares, and IF anyone can put the footage to practical use. (Beyond my edits and the lectures released by ThEC.)
The link offers read-only access. The files total 2.5 TB. There's some redundancy. (Some 2GB MTS files which are later repeated video footage in larger 5 GB - 20 GB MTS files. But most of the large files are not represented in small files... stick to large files.)
If you try use this, I assume you'll have no limit on your internet download, and 2.5 TB of free hard drive space.
Given that, actually getting the files with Google's web interface seems challenging... and running Drive File Stream assumes the folder has been copied to your own personal Google Drive. (Taking up all your GD space!)
There's some 3rd party tools I have not yet tried, like "gdrive" and "rclone" (command-line utilities). Unless your Google Drive account is unlimited storage, you probably want to pull it down to your local computer directly from my Google Drive.
If anyone wants to take a stab at downloading the 2.5 TB, let me know how it went, and how you did it.
Because so many cameras were used, and best-audio was (as usual) not the same camera as best-video, if you get the data you might want me to extract some pertinent Adobe Premiere Pro project files, which have the audio/video sync tracks. Please let me know if you do want them... I don't want to go thru the export hassle unless anyone actually cares.
What Gord has been Up To
My time has been spent cleaning up FFR HTML. Barely touched Editing PC except to rejigger video data uploading from time to time. While I'd rather be editing video, having FFR to work on does make me productive with a laptop. I'm mid-FFR iteration so nothing to say on that yet.
