Premiere Pro 2020 - Automatic Reframing

Most of the coverage of Dr. Ganapati Myneni is reframed from a 16x9 capture (normal HD capture) to 4x5 vertical, they way he looks in most of the talk starting at 1m20s.

This "reframing" is PPro's new feature so I can avoid the huge waste-of-time associated with this ThEC2018 talk...

...where Dr. Elisa Capelli's movements took her left-and-right in the frame and I'd tried to use any & all Adobe tools to track her.

Or alternately, Jim Kennedy's more recent TEAC10 talk on Rare Earths and legislation...

...where he moved so quickly I didn't even try to reframe by any means, or cut between cameras I just threw up my hands and did a split-screen. (I gave up.)

So this automatic-reframing is a brand new feature where Premiere Pro isn't "tracking" generic objects, but actually trying to track human faces specifically. This actually works. Still some tracking errors (which I left in, they're pretty brief), but absolutely a huge time-saver.

I'm not sure why Adobe didn't do this years ago, as they're sort of late-to-the-game with neural-net based video reframing. But still, nice to have now.
