Amanda Lines spoke at ORNL on how Raman spectroscopy allows continuous on-line monitoring of molten-salt chemistry, with an example of monitoring being refreshed every 30 seconds.
Amanda works for PNNL. It was with the joint-permission of Amanda, PNNL and ORNL that I was allowed to receive a copy of this footage.
I was unable to receive a copy of Amanda's slide-deck. I did find something very similar here... https://www.energy.gov/sites/prod/files/2019/12/f69/ne-09-2019-Materials-Chemical-Technologies-Overview-Lines.pdf
...and so that's why this "4K" video has some visual slide portions that are high-res and some which are not.
In addition, I did conduct an interview with Amanda. It went quite well. Combining that discussion with this presentation makes for an even better video, but I do think every presentation given at ORNL (of which I receive a copy) ought to be also made available in as-delivered form.
I'm currently waiting-on (hopefully) some laboratory visuals to incorporate into the Amanda Lines interview.
