Matt Lish of Flibe Energy on Chemical Kidney vs Radiation @ ORNL MSRW 2019

2 min read

Matthew Lish of Flibe Energy sat down at ORNL MSRW for an interview, to discuss how Online Chemistry can be monitored and maintained in a high-radiation environment.

As the folks at Flibe already know, this video reflects a communication challenge I'm facing where many companies working to commercialize Molten-Salt Reactors are engaged in laboratory work, yet I'm still releasing talking-head interviews.

I've asked PNNL (in the context of an Amanda Lines interview) and ORNL, but so far am not seeing a pathway to the kind of lab footage I need.

If you're somebody who knows somebody, or has an idea how to do this then let me know.

The visuals of advanced nuclear and MSR aren't competing with... every other energy source on the planet.

Thermal Conductivity Test Apparatus for Molten Salts - Dianne Ezell @ ORNL MSRW 2019

Dianne Ezell both gave a talk at ORNL MSRW 2019, and sat for an interview.

ORNL did supply me with the video footage, but no slide deck. Dianne was also unable to supply the slide deck.

I don't get it. But that's how it has gone so far... video of slides from ORNL, but no slides from ORNL. (Hence the low-res slides.)

Meta - The Lftr (Radio Mix) (...as in music)

...that is an electronic music track created by "Meta" to help promote public awareness of LFTR.

Meta asked for permission to sample from my videos. I said "sure".

It is the sort of out-there concept I'd like to see a lot more of...

In fact, around 2015 I'd asked Kilowatts (Jamie Watts) if he thought he could create a spoken-word sampled piece similar to The Orb's "S.A.L.T." use of Mike Leigh's 1993 film "Naked."

Kilowatts never ran with it, but Meta (someone I'd never heard of before he asked for permission in January 2020) seemed to have come up with the same idea on his own.

If you listen to ONE electronic track in 2020 about Molten Salt Reactors... make it:
The Lftr Radio Mix!

I must admit I have no idea how to promote this. Or even who listens to what using what? (I've never used Spotify, for example.)

But I'm glad it exists. I'm glad I didn't have to exert any effort for it to be created. Thanks to Meta, it just came out of nowhere.

If you know how to promote it, please do, and tell me how that is done.
