"Detailed Modelling of Neutron Induced Fission on U-233" is a paper by Cristiana Oprea, Alexandru Mihul & Ioan Opera. The Uranium-233 modelling was presented at Thorium Energy Conference 2018 (ThEC2018) in Brussels.
This study represents a research proposal for neutron induced fission investigations and isotope production at the new neutron source IREN, from FNLP-JINR.
Video Quality
This is going to be the quality of most Day3 videos. That's the day I was visiting NRG, and so fewer cameras were deployed.
There is sort of a "quality dial" I can adjust with a video filter called "NeatVideo". It compares any video frame to surrounding frames, to identify and remove video noise. It can operate on neighbouring frames, all the way out to a radius of 5 frames (so 10 frames compared to active frame).
PC with 6 cores (12 threads, 64GB RAM), and 1080Ti GPU (13 GB GPU RAM) chugs on any one of these videos for about 24 hours, when I render 1080P. If I render 4K then I start seeing "out of GPU memory" errors, so I stopped trying 4K.
While the video capture of projection screen ain't perfect, it sure is nice to have. Jonah captured that with a 4K P&S camera, with ziplock bag of water balanced on top to keep it cool. While I don’t hope to replicate the water bag, a 4K screen capture is worth replicating at future conferences.
